What is Josi?

Josi is a Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) tool created by the AICPA for USA based professionals in Accounting and Auditing specialties. It uses a Large Language Model (LLM) with conversational English in a simple but powerful chat interface.

We created Josi to allow Firms to get access to and interact with our Authoritative Guidance and Standards utilising the latest technology available in the marketplace.

Josi will provide Auditing and Accounting professionals with the whole of the AICPA's Online Professional Library (40,000 pieces of material) on Auditing and Accounting, moving with the times of today's finance and accounting needs.

Why is it called Josi?

The name Josi comes from a famous English potter - Josiah Wedgwood, Josiah Wedgwood - Wikipedia, who invented what we now call Cost Accounting.

What can Josi do for me?

Josi accesses the entire Online Professional Library in real-time. It ensures you are always up to date with the latest changes and allows you to prepare for upcoming changes. You can ask it research questions, use it to train staff to self-serve, get direct access to templates such as Engagement letters and even ask it to plan how to implement new standards. The primary role is to assist Accounting and Auditing professionals in their daily work by providing information and guidance on performing accounting tasks in alignment with auditing standards.

Here's how Josi works:

Research and Information Retrieval: Josi can search through various documents and sources to find relevant information on audit and accounting standards. This includes understanding the standards, requirements, guides, and procedures outlined in the Online Professional Library.

Contextual Assistance: When you provide a specific context or scenario, Josi uses the information within that context to give accurate and relevant answers. This ensures that responses are tailored to your specific needs.

Professional Guidance: Josi provides professional yet encouraging guidance to help you understand and apply audit and accounting standards effectively. The goal is to support you in performing your tasks accurately and efficiently.

How do I subscribe to Josi?

For purchase of 1-30 subscriptions

These can be purchased directly on the Josi site.

You will need to have an existing account registered, and click on 'Upgrade now'.

You will need to provide details of the purchaser, and accept the terms and conditions for use and provide payment up front.

You will then get a welcome email to Josi, and your account will be active straight away – no need to wait.

If you click on the 'Buy now' button, this will send an email to our team, who will check if you have an existing account with the email used, and will reach out to you to either advise you to upgrade your account as above or follow an alternative process to provide you with access to a Josi subscription.

For the purchase of 31 or more subscriptions

You will be put in touch with our Enterprise sales team, and will be contacted within 1-2 working days, to work through any additional questions you may have, schedule a demo, and finalise any required contracts. After receipt of the contract, an invoice will be shortly issued, and initial access will be provided and instructions on how to invite users to your subscription.

The process is typically 1-3 working days to ensure access for orders of this size.

How do users invite and add others to their group account on Josi?

You can add other members to your group account via the Settings button, then the Firm section, once logged in.

How do I add more licenses to my account?

If you already have active licenses, you can add more at any time by clicking the Settings button, then the Firm section and clicking the "Add licenses" button.

What's Josi's refund policy?
